thief
how about a thief, they could have dark robes and look mysterious. it would go well with the assasin, they can mimic skills of the opponent when they use it ect.

If you're proposing a new profession; you should probably give us some actual details....

ok, here goes.
the thief is a bit like a mesmer/assasin (like dervish is similar to w/mo)
he can steal items (not money or coloured items)
in the battlefield he confuses people by being really quick and his/her attacks will knock over the enemy, he/her can also disable a skill although this will be more of a signet which he regains by killing the person he disabled the skill from. therefore providing stratigic plan to the battle.

Thief is a profesion in most all RPG's, but you need a lot more work on your idea.
Stealing really isn't an option here, but making his primary increase the drops of rare items or the amount of gold that a monster can drop might be a way around this. Such an ability would instantly make this a popular char for any pve team. This however would be useless in pvp and I can't picture Anet making a pve only proffesion.
Would be nice though

I kind of like these mad lib type class ideas.
It's kind of like: I want a class that flings halibut, and can also use oyster shells as a shield. He would be weak to butter. Now discuss.
I do like them because we can make our own skills.
Here is one:
Sticky Fingers-Thief Skill 15e 1/4c 30r. The thief recieves an exact copy of the touched foes weapon and his proficency with that weapon. This also disables the foes attack skills for 5...15 seconds. You cannot unequip the weapon and has a duration of 5...15 seconds.
Stealth skills would be nice as well.
As the Night-Thief Skill 25e 1/4c 30r. For 1...20 seconds you cannot be targeted. If you move or attack the skill is disabled.
Goodness Im feeling goofy today.

Well action you sure know how to ruin the fun.
